On the 26th, during the sentencing hearing of Yoon's appeal trial for fraud held by the Criminal Appeal Division 2-3 of the Seoul Southern District Court (Presiding Judges Kim Seong-won, Lee Jeong-gwon, Kim Ji-suk), the prosecution stated, "There was no intention to have an intern work in the parliamentary office, but the agreement was made solely to receive a salary," and added, "Although the defendant's side makes various claims, please examine whether there was collusion during the contract process."

On the other hand, Yoon, who attended the trial, rebutted, "The prosecution claims that I, who had never even run for a parliamentary seat at the time, conspired with former lawmaker Baek Won-woo to commit fraud," and said, "There is no reason for me to have committed fraud, nor did I conspire."

Yoon is accused of falsely registering employee A, who was in charge of accounting while serving as the Planning Director at the Korea Future Development Institute in August 2011, as an intern in former lawmaker Baek's office and receiving a salary of 5.45 million won from the National Assembly Secretariat for about five months. The first trial court issued a summary order imposing a fine of 5 million won on Yoon in January. A summary order is a procedure that imposes a fine or penalty without a formal trial when the charges are not serious.
