Lee Byeong-no, the governor of Damyang County, visited the National Assembly, where the review of next year's government budget proposal is underway, to make an all-out effort to resolve local pending projects and secure next year's national treasury budget.

Earlier this month, Governor Lee met with Park Jeong, chairman of the National Assembly's Special Committee on Budget and Accounts, and its members to request national funding support for local pending projects. Then, on the 25th, he visited the National Assembly again to meet with Speaker Woo Won-sik and Representative Ahn Do-geol to request the inclusion of next year's project funds.

On that day, Governor Lee proposed ▲ the establishment of the 'Damyang Food Specialized Agricultural and Industrial Complex' to revitalize regional investment and secure future growth engines ▲ the designation of the Damyang 2nd General Industrial Complex development project as a 'regional strategic project' within the greenbelt area.

He also requested budget allocation for ▲ the operation of the Gurye-Gokseong-Sunchang-Damyang smart health bus for broad cooperation between Jeollanam-do and Jeollabuk-do ▲ the maintenance project of aging sewage pipelines in Damyang County ▲ the establishment and activation of a garden tourism network ▲ the creation of a modern missionary complex space along the Moonlight Railroad Trail, along with the National Assembly's attention and cooperation to overcome the crisis of local extinction.

Governor Lee stated, “We will continue to strive to resolve local pending issues and secure national treasury budgets through close communication with the National Assembly and central government departments,” adding, “We will do our best to create a happy, self-reliant economic city for all.”

Meanwhile, the government budget proposal is expected to be finalized in early December after passing through the National Assembly's standing committees and the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts.
