Goheung-gun Provides Incentives to Travel Agencies for Attracting Group Tourists

'Cheon Kyungja Special Exhibition' Support of 30,000 KRW per Tourist for Groups of 15 or More

Gohung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Young-min) announced on the 26th that it will provide special incentives to travel agencies that attract group tourists to the "Cheon Kyung-ja 100th Birth Anniversary Special Exhibition" held at the Gohung Buncheong Culture Museum until the end of this year.

The support conditions include ▲ accommodation within Gohung-gun ▲ viewing the Cheon Kyung-ja special exhibition at the Gohung Buncheong Culture Museum ▲ charcoal-grilled fish meal and purchase at Gohung traditional market ▲ purchase of local specialties. Travel agencies that attract 15 or more domestic and international tourists meeting these conditions will receive an incentive of 30,000 KRW per tourist.

However, cases where the purpose is not tourism, cases receiving public institution financial support, participation by invitation, or inclusion of residents with an address in Gohung-gun on the list are excluded from eligibility.

Travel agencies wishing to apply must submit their application to the Tourism Policy Office of Gohung-gun Office by December 15, and the announcement can be found on the official Gohung-gun website or the tourism homepage notice board.

A county official said, "This Cheon Kyung-ja 100th Birth Anniversary Special Exhibition is an important opportunity to convey cultural value to tourists visiting Gohung," and added, "We hope for the participation of many travel agencies and tourists."
