Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 26th that it conducted a 'Visiting Child Abuse Prevention Campaign' on the 22nd and 25th in observance of Child Abuse Prevention Week.

Under the slogan "Reading the Heart," the Uijeongbu City Community Security Council Family Division (Head Lee Hun-beom), along with Ganeung Da Together Care Center (Director Choi Sun-hee), Klnamu Regional Child Center (Director Kwon Kyung-mi), and the National Public Hope Hana Daycare Center (Director Ryu Suk-hyang), visited to promote child abuse prevention education and awareness improvement.
As a preliminary activity, they conducted ▲ reading picture books on child abuse prevention ▲ sharing stories & expressing thoughts ▲ making feeling panels, and emphasized child abuse prevention through education, receiving great responses from both children and facility workers.
An official from Uijeongbu City stated, "We will continue various promotional activities to prevent child abuse and improve awareness," and added, "We will strive to create an environment where children can grow up healthy and happy."
