According to Hanam City on the 26th, the Hanam City Public Health Center successfully operated the ‘Visiting Dental Care Project for the Disabled’ targeting 120 users at 7 facilities for the disabled in the city until the 21st.


The Dental Care Project for the Disabled was established to prevent oral diseases and improve oral health for people with disabilities who have difficulty accessing dental medical services.


Dentists and dental hygienists from the Hanam City Public Health Center visited the facilities for the disabled and provided prevention-focused oral health care services to users and workers, including ▲oral examinations (interviews and basic oral checkups) ▲oral health education (tooth brushing, how to use oral hygiene products) ▲fluoride application ▲distribution of oral hygiene products.


A representative from the Hanam City Public Health Center stated, “We launched the ‘Visiting Dental Care Project for the Disabled’ to help disabled individuals with mobility difficulties avoid being left in medical blind spots. Hanam City will continue to make various efforts to raise awareness of the importance of oral health in the community and support healthy oral habits.”
