Jeju Special Self-Governing Province announced on the 26th that it will hold a 'Technology Exchange Seminar' on the 27th at the banquet hall on the 2nd floor of Jeju Sun Hotel to discuss cooperation on Jeju's specialized wind power O&M (operation and maintenance) system with related wind power organizations in the province.

The province signed a win-win cooperation agreement with Doosan Enerbility Co., Ltd. last July to foster experts in the energy sector within the province.

The wind power technology exchange seminar, following up on the cooperation agreement, is hosted by the Wind Power Service Association and will be attended by about 40 field practitioners, including local maintenance companies and wind power plant personnel.

At the seminar, participants will share operational technology know-how and the latest technology trends of various wind power operating companies through technology exchange. Additionally, topics such as the current status of maintenance technology for onshore wind power plants in the province, plans for operating dedicated vessels for the expanding offshore wind power O&M, and the operation plan of the Doosan Wind Power Center in Jeju to support local talent development and expand job opportunities will be presented and discussed. Efficient O&M technology for wind power is a very important field as it maximizes the stability and economic feasibility of wind power plants.

Yang Jeyoon, Director of the Innovation Industry Bureau of Jeju Province, said, "To promote large-scale offshore wind power deployment and industry development that our province is pursuing, it is essential to secure stable operational technology that residents can trust." He added, "We will continue to provide opportunities for technological cooperation by expanding participation in the wind power industry and strive to promote Jeju's wind power service industry."
