Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, has been recognized as a local government that effectively utilizes social networking services (SNS).

On the 26th, Gwangsan-gu announced that it won three awards at the '10th 2024 SNS Awards,' including the YouTube Grand Prize and the Best Blog and KakaoStory Awards.

The SNS Awards, held since 2015, are hosted and organized by the Korea Social Content Promotion Association and the Council Policy Academy, with support from the Ministry of Science and ICT. The competition evaluates the SNS utilization capabilities of public institutions and companies nationwide, including blogs, Instagram, and YouTube.

Gwangsan-gu was highly praised for producing content aligned with the latest trends on district policies and major events, as well as for engaging residents through real-time communication.

Park Byung-gyu, the district mayor, said, “We will strive to communicate more closely with residents and effectively promote key district activities.”
