U+tv, Exclusive Content Provision of Chinese OTT Platform 'Bilibili'

Aeyujeok Milshil, Mamma Mia, and More Released Sequentially from the 27th
Available for Viewing with 'Uplay Premium' Subscription

From the 27th, LG Uplus's IPTV service will offer over 300 pieces of content from the Chinese online video service (OTT) platform 'Bilibili'.

On the 26th, LG Uplus announced that it will exclusively provide popular content from the Chinese OTT platform 'Bilibili' for the first time in Korea through its IPTV service 'U+tv' and mobile IPTV 'U+Mobile tv'.


Bilibili is an OTT platform that has been operating in China since 2009. As of 2022, its average monthly active users exceeded 300 million, with 80% of users aged between 18 and 35.


The content provided by LG Uplus includes over 300 titles such as Aeyujeok Milsil, Mammamian, Baekyobo, Cheonbobokyorok, Yeolhwayosu, Jungguk Gidam, Seurudeu, and Je1-ui Sequence, which will be released sequentially starting from the 27th. These series are based on intellectual property (IP) with large fanbases.


These contents can be viewed by subscribing to the 'U+ Play Premium (14,400 KRW per month)' subscription on U+tv or U+Mobile tv. U+ Play Premium is available at a 20% discounted rate of 12,320 KRW per month with a one-year contract.


Jung Jin-yi, head of LG Uplus Media Business Tribe, said, "It is significant that we are providing Bilibili's content, which has a strong fanbase, exclusively and for the first time to LG Uplus users. We will continue to strive to offer differentiated viewing experiences to customers by introducing diverse global content through partnerships with overseas OTT platforms."


Meanwhile, LG Uplus has been providing representative content from global platforms such as popular content from the US broadcaster CBS supplied by Paramount, original content from the global platform Amazon Prime, Japanese pay TV provider Wowow, and Swedish content streaming platform Viaplay.
