Hana Financial Group announced on the 26th that it held the '2024 Hana WAVEs Conference' at the Euljiro headquarters of Hana Bank.
'Hana WAVEs' is Hana Financial Group's flagship female leadership development program launched in 2021. With the addition of 22 employees selected this year as the 4th cohort, a total of 120 employees have completed the 'Hana WAVEs' program.
WAVEs stands for Women's Actions, Voices, Emotions, symbolizing the creation of waves of innovation through women's actions, voices, and emotions.
At the '2024 Hana WAVEs Conference,' the graduation ceremony for the 4th cohort selected in August was held, along with a session to share cases of change and innovation driven by 'Hana WAVEs' employees for the field.
The 4th cohort of 'Hana WAVEs' employees completed specialized training in various fields such as humanities, speech, and digital. Additionally, through a systematic talent development system where previous cohorts 1 to 3 participated as mentors, they shared innovative cases applicable in their work areas, including ▲global financial services ▲customer base expansion ▲increased synergy among affiliates.
Notably, Chairman Ham Young-joo of Hana Financial Group personally attended the conference to encourage the graduates of Hana WAVEs. Chairman Ham engaged in candid communication about the challenges and actions of female leaders for the future of the group.
Chairman Ham Young-joo stated, "The core asset of Hana Financial Group is our customers, and a true leader is one who fiercely contemplates to find answers on the ground." He added, "I hope you grow as leaders who grow together with employees and understand and practice the group's aspirations."
Meanwhile, Hana Financial Group plans to continuously create opportunities for the growth of its executives and employees through the expansion of systematic leadership programs. The group will continue to practice ESG management that contributes to strengthening the capabilities of female employees at the group level and fostering a society where women can thrive.
