Ilsandong-gu, Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 25th that it operated a "Visiting Welfare Counseling Center" at Carp St. Mary's Hospital on the 22nd.
The Visiting Welfare Counseling Center is a project that provides customized welfare services such as welfare counseling and linkage to public services by visiting places frequently visited by residents so that local residents can easily access welfare benefits. On this day, the event was conducted in collaboration with the Todak Todak Bus operated by the Goyang City Integrated Addiction Management Support Center.
At this Visiting Welfare Counseling Center, mental health specialists from the Todak Todak Bus provided stress measurement through brainwave tests and professional counseling on depression and anxiety to residents who do not have time to care for their minds due to busy daily lives. Initial consultations were also conducted for emergency welfare and public benefit provision in cases of economic difficulties.
An official from the district stated, “As the importance of emotional care and mental health increases for a healthy life, we will continuously operate the Visiting Welfare Counseling Center, where the mental health and welfare issues of local residents can be addressed in one place, to enhance the sense of welfare and strive to discover welfare crisis households.”
