Namyangju City and Municipal Choir Pilot 'Orchestra Visiting Schools' Program

Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 25th that it successfully held a pilot performance of the 'Orchestra Visiting Schools' at Dasan Hangang Elementary School on the 22nd.

This event featured the city choir joining the narrated orchestra performance 'Orchestra Visiting Schools,' providing a richer and more special musical experience.

A student who attended the event said, "I used to think classical music was difficult, but after hearing the introduction of instruments and explanations about the choir parts, classical music felt much more approachable."

Mayor Joo Gwang-deok of Namyangju said, "I hope everyone feels the charm of classical music through this program and cherishes the emotions music brings for a long time. I also wish hope and progress fill the future of all of you who are starting new challenges as you graduate."

Meanwhile, the city operates classical education programs including 'Orchestra Visiting Schools,' providing vivid classical education and performances to about 22,000 students across 60 elementary schools in the district, receiving great responses.
