Creating an Active Communication Platform with Local Businesses
Gyeongbuk Technopark and the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of National Andong University signed an MOU on the 20th with 27 hemp companies in the Andong area of Gyeongbuk Province, establishing an active cooperation system among industry, academia, and research.

The event was attended by about 60 people, including Gyeongbuk Province, Andong City, Gyeongbuk Regional Industry Promotion Agency, Gyeongbuk TP, National Andong University, and 44 companies in the Andong area, serving as a platform to build a mutual cooperation system for fostering and revitalizing the hemp industry in the Andong region.
Gyeongbuk Province and Andong City were selected with an S grade in the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ public contest for ‘Support for High Value-added Productization and Commercialization to Foster and Revitalize the Hemp Industry in the Andong Region,’ securing 1.04 billion KRW in national funding.
The project is led by Gyeongbuk TP with participation from the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of Andong University, supporting 66 programs for 19 hemp companies in the Andong area.
Furthermore, by linking with projects supporting the development of functional materials using hemp by-products and high value-added productization, it is fostering growth into upstream and downstream related industries.
Ha In-seong, President of Gyeongbuk Technopark, stated, “With the support of Gyeongbuk Province and Andong City and leveraging our foundation’s capabilities, we will do our best to strengthen the competitiveness of hemp companies in the Andong region.”
