‘Mom's Healing Space’... Birth of Mapo-gu's First Offline Mom Cafe

Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Gang-su) established the district's first offline Mom Cafe on the 3rd floor of the Mapo Women's Companion Center and held an opening ceremony on the afternoon of the 25th.

The offline Mom Cafe created by Mapo-gu is a customized community space for female caregivers in their 20s to 50s, with a total area of 40.52㎡.

The space includes a 'Communication Room' with a shared kitchen, information search area, and reading space, as well as a 'Healing Room' equipped with a karaoke booth for stress relief and a relaxation area.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mayor Park Gang-su of Mapo-gu and local residents to celebrate the birth of the Mom Cafe.

The ceremony proceeded with Mayor Park Gang-su's commemorative speech, congratulatory remarks from guests, a plaque unveiling ceremony, and a facility tour.

Mayor Park Gang-su said, "Raising children is a beautiful task, but sometimes it can be the loneliest." He added, "I thought there was a need for a space solely for mothers to relieve stress and obtain information, so we created the Mom Cafe." He continued, "Mapo-gu will continue to do its best to create a child-friendly Mapo."

Mom Cafe users can use all items and fixtures within the facility free of charge, except for the karaoke booth. Reservations can be made in advance through the online reservation website.
