The Gwangsan District Council of Gwangju’s ‘Gwangsan-type Integrated Care Council Research Group’ was selected for the Encouragement Award in the Policy Research category at the 2024 Local Legislative Awards.
According to the Gwangsan District Council on the 25th, the ‘Gwangsan-type Integrated Care Council Research Group’ is a research organization led by Councilor Yoon Hye-young, with Councilors Jo Young-im, Yang Man-ju, Han Yoon-hee, and Kang Han-sol participating. They worked throughout last year on the theme of establishing a ‘Gwangsan-type Integrated Care’ system.
In response to the increasing demand for region-specific medical and care policies due to rapid super-aging and rising solitary deaths, they explored excellent domestic cases on-site and held meetings and discussions. In September last year, they enacted the ‘Gwangsan-gu Integrated Care Support Ordinance,’ establishing a basis for systematic care services through community cooperation.
Councilor Yoon said, “It is even more meaningful to receive this award with the councilors who have worked hard on policy research,” adding, “We will strive to discover broad and detailed policies that can meet citizens’ expectations and encompass health and happiness.”
