Noona Shin Sujeong Promoted to Executive Director

Shin Sang-yeol, the eldest son of Nongshim Chairman Shin Dong-won and head of the Future Business Office, has been promoted to executive vice president.

Nongshim announced on the 25th that Shin was promoted in the regular personnel reshuffle for the second half of the year. A Nongshim official explained, "The promotion to executive vice president of the Future Business Office, which creates Nongshim's vision, was decided with the intention of entrusting him with a pivotal role in determining the company's growth direction and expansion."

Born in 1993, Shin worked as an intern at Nongshim for two years starting in 2015. After graduating from Columbia University in the United States with a degree in Industrial Engineering in 2019, he joined Nongshim's Management Planning Office that same year. He subsequently served as director in charge of purchasing and as director of the Future Business Office.

Shin's older sister, Shin Su-jeong, who is responsible for beverage marketing, was also promoted to director of the Product Marketing Office. A Nongshim official said, "She was promoted due to achieving sales growth while managing the juice brand 'Welch's' and will contribute to expanding Nongshim's global business by strengthening collaboration with global food companies in the Product Marketing Office."
