Gijang-gun Hosts November Lecture of Humanities Empathy Academy

Lecture by Music Critic An Ji-yeon

Gijang-gun (Governor Jeong Jong-bok) announced on the 25th that it held a lecture for the ‘Gijang Humanities Empathy Academy’ at the Sodubang Children's Theater in Jeonggwan Library on the 21st.


This lecture was an invited talk by music critic An Ji-yeon (CEO of Have Some Music), who graduated from the Cologne University of Music in Germany and served as an adjunct professor at Gimpo University, under the theme ‘Orchestra, the Beauty of Harmony!’


Music critic An Ji-yeon is active as a writer, having written scripts for KBS Open Concert, worked as a journalist for music specialty magazines, and lectured at large corporations.


In the special lecture, critic An attracted participants’ responses by delivering basic knowledge to help easily appreciate orchestras, along with a lecture utilizing various media.


One participant said, “It was a very beneficial time to understand and appreciate the orchestra, which is usually somewhat difficult to approach, through easy explanations.”


The ‘Gijang Humanities Empathy Academy’ is a platform for communication and empathy with residents through the humanities. It is a ‘humanities-specialized lecture program’ promoted by Gijang-gun to improve residents’ quality of life through the humanities and to create a humanities city.
