CEO Management Meeting Held on the 20th
Business Capability Review Two Days After Executive Personnel Changes
Lee Jae-hyun, Chairman of CJ, emphasized "growth based on competitiveness," stating that "since opportunities for global growth are opening up, we must deeply recognize not only short-term performance but also future growth potential."
According to CJ on the 25th, Chairman Lee held a CEO management meeting on the 20th at the CJ Human Resources Development Center in Jung-gu, Seoul, saying, "We must not neglect domestic business innovation such as digital transformation and new product development." The meeting was attended by key executives including Kim Hong-gi, CEO of CJ Corporation; Heo Min-hoe, Chief Management Officer of CJ Corporation; Kang Shin-ho, CEO of CJ CheilJedang; Shin Young-soo, CEO of CJ Logistics; Lee Sun-jung, CEO of CJ Olive Young; and Yoon Sang-hyun, CEO of CJ ENM.

The meeting covered the global economic outlook, the policy direction of the new U.S. administration, the domestic economic outlook for next year, and industry trends. Chairman Lee particularly urged proactive responses to changes in domestic and international trends such as climate change, super-aging, and polarization. He said, "Global cultural trends such as K-Food, K-Content, and K-Pop are expanding interest in Korea," adding, "Please approach this with the urgency that this is the last chance for the group to leap forward as a global company."
Chairman Lee also reiterated the importance of securing talent to realize the vision. CJ recruited a triple-digit number of new employees through open recruitment in the first and second halves of this year. In the regular executive personnel appointments made on the 18th, two days before the meeting, 12 executives born in the 1980s were appointed, and for the first time in the group, a CEO born in the 1990s was selected.
A CJ official said about this meeting, "Amid intensifying global uncertainties, it was an opportunity to forecast changes in domestic and international management environments and to review the group's business capabilities and growth engines," adding, "Based on the strength of the cultural business the group has built up, we reaffirmed our determination to lead K-Trends and leap forward as a global leading company."
