On the 25th, Park Jeong-hyeon, the governor of Buyeo County, Chungnam, emphasized in his policy address to the Buyeo County Council, "Despite difficult conditions this year, such as the reduction of local allocation tax and three consecutive years of climate disasters, we have demonstrated the county's potential and capabilities externally."


He continued, "We have achieved milestones such as revitalizing local businesses and the livelihood economy through the regional currency Goodtrae Pay, attracting domestic and international companies such as Hangkeo and Daeo, commencing construction of Buyeo County's first general industrial complex, designation as a special zone for secondary battery open innovation, establishment of the first overseas agricultural specialized base by a local government, and attracting 4 million tourists for two consecutive years."


Governor Park presented six major tasks to create a "Greater Buyeo Together": △Livable rural areas △Specialized culture and tourism △Advancing economy △Sustainable future △Inclusive welfare △Customized regional development.


Governor Park stated, "We will pursue the internationalization of K-Buyeo Goodtrae agriculture, address drought, water supply, and flood issues by building three major agricultural infrastructures, and aim to create an agricultural environment that responds to climate change with a target of 80 million won in agricultural production per person."


He also said, "We will increase the population by attracting secondary battery-related companies and pre-selling lots before the completion of the Buyeo General Industrial Complex, thereby creating jobs."


Additionally, he announced, "We will realize customized welfare for each stage of life by constructing a public dementia-focused comprehensive care facility, building a complex protection facility for people with disabilities, operating a 24-hour childcare center, creating a youth fund, and expanding the eligibility for special transportation services."


He added, "We will enhance the appeal for corporate attraction and achieve balanced development through the opening of the Buyeo-Pyeongtaek West Inland Expressway and the construction of the new Geumgang Bridge between Jangam and Seokseong."


Meanwhile, the county has set the main budget for 2025 at 770.7 billion won (699.3 billion won in the general account, 71.4 billion won in the special account), an increase of 5.4 billion won (0.71%) compared to the previous year, and submitted it to the county council.
