All BTS Members Enter Top 5 on the Billboard 200 Chart
Jin, the eldest member of the group BTS, has entered the Billboard main chart with his first solo album.
On the 25th (KST), the U.S. music media Billboard announced on its official website in a chart preview article that BTS's Jin's first solo album 'Happy,' released on the 15th, entered the main album chart 'Billboard 200' (dated November 30) at number 4. Jin achieved the feat of entering the 'Billboard 200' with his first solo album.
Billboard reported that 'Happy' recorded 66,000 album sales, 8,000 SEA units (sales equivalent calculated from streaming counts), and 3,000 TEA units (sales equivalent calculated from digital track downloads).
With this, BTS became the only K-pop group whose group and individual members all ranked in the top 5 of this chart. Previously, BTS topped the 'Billboard 200' six times in total ('LOVE YOURSELF 轉 ‘Tear’', 'LOVE YOURSELF 結 ‘Answer’', 'MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA', 'MAP OF THE SOUL : 7', 'BE', 'Proof').
In solo activities, RM charted with 'mono.' (26th), 'Indigo' (3rd), 'Right Place, Wrong Person' (5th); SUGA under the stage name Agust D with 'D-2' (11th) and 'D-DAY' (2nd); J-Hope with 'Hope World' (38th), 'Jack In The Box' (6th), 'HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1' (5th); Jimin with 'FACE' (2nd), 'MUSE' (2nd); V with 'Layover' (2nd); and Jungkook with 'GOLDEN' (2nd).
Jin is hitting a 'career high' with his solo album 'Happy.' The title track of the new release, 'Running Wild,' broke Jin's own record for solo songs by ranking 8th on Spotify's 'Daily Top Songs Global,' 10th on the 'Weekly Top Songs Global,' and 25th on the UK Official Singles Chart immediately after its release.
