The Chinese government has extended the visa-free entry period for Koreans from 15 days to 30 days, leading to a surge in travel-related stocks.
As of 10:30 AM on the 25th, Chamjoeun Travel is trading at 5,990 KRW, up 21.13% compared to the previous trading day. Modetour is up 6.35% at 10,880 KRW, and Norangpungseon is trading at 5,360 KRW, up 12.25%.
On the 22nd, the Chinese government announced that starting from the 30th, the visa-free visit purposes, currently limited to business, tourism, and visiting relatives, will include 'exchange visits,' and the visa-free stay period in China will be extended from 15 days to 30 days.
Accordingly, people participating in academic, cultural, religious, and non-governmental organization exchanges, short-term volunteers, and overseas experts will also be able to stay in China visa-free for 30 days.
