Yulhee, a former member of the group Laboum, has stated that she will not tolerate malicious comments directed at her.
On the 22nd, Yulhee uploaded a video titled "Living Simply and Busily These Days" on her YouTube channel "Yulhee's House." In the video, she said, "Since my job involves showing myself to many people, having various opinions has always been something I dealt with during my activities," adding, "This time as well, I thought I could use somewhat aggressive words after seeing various malicious comments, but as I stayed silent, they gradually crossed the line, so I decided to take legal action."
She continued, "My actions or activities may not please everyone, but there are people who make personal attacks or sexual harassment beyond those comments," and said, "I believe it is right to punish so-called 'mindless malicious comments' without leniency." She emphasized, "Many people have reported malicious comments to the company email. Besides that, I also receive many direct messages," adding, "Including those, shouldn't we punish them one by one?" Furthermore, she added, "At first, I thought I should endure it, but the words crossing the line kept coming," and "Those people probably do not only leave malicious comments for me, so legal measures seem necessary."
Meanwhile, Yulhee married FT Island's Choi Minhwan in 2018 and had one son and twin daughters, but they separated last December after about five years. Subsequently, on the 23rd of last month, YouTuber and former entertainment reporter Lee Jin-ho claimed that "the biggest reason for their divorce was Yulhee's neglect of the family." In response, Yulhee denied this, stating, "Choi Minhwan frequented entertainment establishments and engaged in prostitution during their marriage, which led to their divorce," and presented his phone call recordings as evidence. In the recordings, Choi Minhwan spoke to a male acquaintance, Mr. A, saying things like, "They say there are no girls here today," "Can you book a hotel where we can go now? A motel is fine too," and "I sneaked out, so please make a reservation." After the incident became public, Choi Minhwan announced a suspension of his activities and was also reported by a netizen on charges of prostitution.
Recently, Yulhee filed a mediation request with the Seoul Family Court for a change of custody, alimony, and property division. Currently, Choi Minhwan holds custody of the three children. Regarding this, Yulhee's lawyer explained, "At the time of the divorce, there was an agreement that Yulhee would take the children soon," adding, "Considering her involvement in visitation and child-rearing afterward, it can be seen that Yulhee is the actual custodian. There is a good chance of success."
