According to Naver Webtoon, the episodes were automatically set to private due to accumulated user reports. As of the 24th, when accessing Naver Webtoon, episodes 1 to 4 of Isekai PongPongNam are currently private with the message "Post on hold."

Earlier, on the 22nd, Naver Webtoon disqualified Isekai PongPongNam from the Naver Webtoon contest. The following day, on the 23rd, episode 4 of Isekai PongPongNam was posted, and this action was taken following user reports.

The company explained that content viewing was automatically temporarily restricted due to accumulated reports. According to Naver Webtoon's internal operation policy, webtoons registered in the comic board's 'Challenge Comics' or 'Best Challenge Comics' are automatically put on hold if they receive three or more reports. Isekai PongPongNam tells the story of a man devoted to his family who witnesses his wife cheating. The man tries to divorce his wife but ends up devastated after she takes most of his assets. The story progresses as the man accidentally crosses over to another world. However, some netizens criticized the webtoon for containing misogynistic expressions and content. After passing the first round of the contest in September, users demanded refunds and withdrew memberships, leading to a boycott.

As the controversy spread, Naver Webtoon ultimately disqualified Isekai PongPongNam from the contest and stated, "We sincerely apologize for causing discomfort and concern to readers and webtoon creators due to recent issues related to the contest." Furthermore, Naver Webtoon announced, "We will assess the appropriateness of the reports regarding Isekai PongPongNam together with an external advisory committee," and added, "We will establish an external advisory committee as a measure to improve content operation policies and processes."
