Yangju City and NongHyup Central Association Yangju Branch Sign Agreement for 'Eat Breakfast Campaign'

Mayor Kang Su-hyun "We will continue to work with Nonghyup to promote rice consumption"
Donated Yangjugol rice worth 20 million won to neighbors in need in the district

Gyeonggi Yangju City (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 22nd that it signed a business agreement for the ‘Eat Breakfast Campaign’ to promote rice consumption with the Yangju Branch of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (hereinafter referred to as the Nonghyup Yangju Branch, Branch Manager Oh Jeong-su) at the city hall.

The signing ceremony was attended by Yangju Mayor Kang Su-hyun, Oh Jeong-su, Branch Manager of the Nonghyup Yangju Branch, Lee Yong-jae, Chairman of Baekseok Nonghyup, and other officials.


According to this agreement, Yangju City and the Nonghyup Yangju Branch will actively cooperate to revitalize rice consumption by promoting △ the formation of healthy eating habits through eating breakfast △ promotional activities and campaign cooperation to establish a rice consumption culture △ discovering and implementing various measures to increase rice consumption.


Additionally, on the same day, the Nonghyup Yangju Branch made the event even more meaningful by donating 20 million KRW worth of Yangjugol rice (20kg) to help neighbors in need within the district as the year-end approached.


Branch Manager Oh Jeong-su said, “Through this agreement, I hope that the citizens of Yangju will recognize the importance of breakfast and form healthy eating habits,” adding, “We will work together with Yangju City to increase the consumption of Yangjugol rice.”


Mayor Kang Su-hyun stated, “I hope this agreement will serve as an opportunity for citizens to change their perception of rice and use more high-quality Yangjugol rice,” and added, “We will continue to actively work with Nonghyup to promote rice consumption.”
