The main projects include △ Expansion of Nong-eochon Road No. 102 between Changhyeon and Chasan △ Opening of Hwado-Pocheon Expressway △ Opening of City Road No. 8 △ Construction of the entrance road to Nokchon-ri △ Construction of the entrance road to the Chasan-ri Reserve Forces Training Center △ Expansion of Nong-eochon Road No. 205 in Gagok-ri.

First, the city completed the expansion construction of Nong-eochon Road No. 102 between Changhyeon and Chasan on the 20th. This section is a major road connecting Local Road No. 86 and City Road No. 8, with a total length of 1.85 km and a project cost of 20.1 billion KRW.

Until now, the Chasan-ri area in Hwado-eup was densely packed with factories and warehouses, resulting in frequent large vehicle traffic and narrow road widths, causing traffic congestion and high risk of accidents. However, with this expansion construction, residents' inconvenience is expected to be resolved and traffic safety significantly improved.

Additionally, the city expanded the entrance road construction to the Chasan-ri Reserve Forces Training Center on the 28th of last month with a total project cost of 3.1 billion KRW, and completed about 380 meters of the entrance road to Nokchon 1-ri on the 4th with a total project cost of 3.2 billion KRW.

Furthermore, through the expansion construction of Nong-eochon Road No. 205 in Gagok-ri (Section 1), the city plans to expand about 100 meters up to the entrance of Gagok 1-ri, which connects to the currently under-construction Local Road No. 387, to resolve habitual congestion. The total project cost was 2.3 billion KRW, and completion is scheduled for December.

Mayor Joo Gwang-deok of Namyangju said, “Namyangju City will continue to do its best to expand the transportation network, not only to improve citizens' transportation convenience but also to become a city where people want to invest and live.”
