The growth presentation ceremony featured a variety of programs, starting with an exhibition of Kkumdeulim Center activities over the past year, followed by the awarding of the mayor’s commendation, an activity report video, a one-year review, dance and band performances. In particular, to celebrate the youth’s growth, center director awards were given in various categories such as excellence, learning, independence, and self-development awards, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.

This year, Yangju City Kkumdeulim supported a total of 133 out-of-school youth to take a step forward toward their dreams, including 72 who passed the qualification exam and entered university, 35 who obtained qualifications and employment for social entry such as ITQ and barista certifications, and 26 who engaged in self-development and received awards.

Mayor Kang Su-hyun said in his congratulatory speech, “Although choosing one’s own path outside the framework of school is by no means an easy decision, I was impressed by the youth taking a step toward their dreams,” and added, “I will support and encourage out-of-school youth in Yangju City to create a healthy and bright future.”

Meanwhile, Yangju City Kkumdeulim offers various programs free of charge to help youth return to school and enter society.
