A middle-aged man and woman, suspected of having an affair, caused a public nuisance by throwing money in a clothing store and asking to throw away a pair of stockings, drawing frowns from netizens.
A, who runs a clothing store on the outskirts of Gyeonggi Province, recently shared this story on the self-employed online community 'Apeunikka Sajangida' (Because It Hurts, I'm a Boss). A opened by saying, "I don't know if they were a married couple or an affair couple, but it was really absurd and annoying." He explained the situation, "Around noon, a woman in her mid-40s dressed in golf wear and a man in his late 50s came into the store acting cozy. They started by trying on clothes displayed in front of the store and put on more than 20 outfits over 40 minutes, basically putting on a fashion show."
According to A, the two even tried to enter the fitting room together. A said, "They kept trying to go into the fitting room together, so I firmly stopped them by saying, 'Only one person can use the fitting room at a time.'" He continued, "After their fashion show, the only items they brought to pay for were two basic cotton T-shirts priced at 19,900 won," expressing his frustration. He added, "While paying, the woman kept criticizing the clothes beside me. I thought to myself, 'Why don’t you make your own clothes?' but I just said 'Yes, yes' out loud."
Throwing money at the counter and asking to throw away stockings
A said, "Meanwhile, the man paying threw money onto the counter saying, '100 won is a tip,' which annoyed me. But the packaging cost was 100 won, so there was no tip at all," expressing disbelief. He added, "As I was saying 'Goodbye,' the woman left but suddenly came back and handed me something, asking me to throw it away. It was a pair of old, worn-out flesh-colored stockings," lamenting, "Life is really interesting."
Netizens who read the story responded with comments such as "What were they trying to do going into the fitting room together?" "Do they want to act like that even though people are watching?" "That's why they have affairs," "Definitely an affair. Even married couples never go in together," "You can tell an affair right away," "What’s with the 100 won tip? That’s just ridiculous," "Grow old gracefully, please," and "Birds of a feather flock together. No mercy," among others.
