Respect, praise, self-esteem... The nursing personality camp held at Dong-Eui Science University unfolded as a diverse freshman experience program.
The Department of Nursing (Head Kim Yoonji) at Dong-Eui Science University (President Kim Youngdo) announced on the 22nd that it conducted the 2024 personality camp on the 11th.
This camp was conducted as a program dealing with personality, a core competency of nurses, and first-year nursing students participated in experience-centered education including △ methods of forming human relationships through team activities △ ways of respect and communication △ praise relay △ etiquette education △ improvement of confidence and self-esteem.
A student who participated in the camp said, “I learned that nurses must cooperate with the healthcare team to promote patients’ health and solve health problems, and it was a great opportunity to experience actual cooperative activities.”
Kim Yoonji, head of the Department of Nursing at Dong-Eui Science University, said, “We will continue to support and strive so that nurses can grow with proper personality and cooperation in clinical settings.”
Since its establishment in 2009, the Department of Nursing at Dong-Eui Science University has set the vision of “the highest-level nursing department contributing to the promotion of future human health” and has obtained continuous 5-year accreditation through the 4th cycle. It was also selected as an excellent educational case institution in the 2019 nursing college practice education support project hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
