"Growing Our Children's Dreams"... Goryeong-gun Operates Elementary School Dream Academy

The Population Policy Division of Goryeong County is attracting attention by providing educational programs that nurture children's dreams.

Goryeong County announced on the 22nd that since October 31, it has been conducting the 'Dream Academy' for Ssangnim Elementary School students, which includes life sports programs, career counseling, and job experience education.

This program, carried out as part of the Ssangnim-myeon Basic Living Base Creation Regional Capacity Building Project, was created for local children who do not receive services other than after-school programs provided by the school. It is a program designed to strengthen children's physical and mental health and to explore future career paths together, and it is scheduled to be implemented until 2025.

Currently, kids' sports education such as rhythm training and big volleyball with professional instructors is being conducted to support children's physical and emotional growth. Education for future dreams and hopes, including job experience, aptitude discovery, and career exploration, will also be provided.

Lee Nam-cheol, the governor of Goryeong County, introduced the program, saying, "In this serious low birthrate era, this program alleviates the community's concerns about education, and our children, who are the foundation of Goryeong County's future, can have diverse experiences through the Dream Academy."

The governor added, "I hope this becomes an opportunity for children to find their talents and nurture their dreams," and said, "We will strive to provide more diverse and substantial educational programs so that the lives of our children and residents are satisfying."
