On the occasion of 'International Men's Day,' an Indian woman was captured dancing wearing only a towel in front of a memorial tower, sparking controversy.

On the 20th (local time), India's Times of India reported, "Recently, a woman posted a video dancing in front of the 'India Gate,' a war memorial in New Delhi, wearing only a towel, drawing heavy criticism." The released video shows a woman dancing to music wearing just a single towel wrapped around her body. During the dance, she lifted the towel, exposing parts of her body.

The issue lies in the fact that the 'India Gate' where the woman stood is a memorial tower built to honor the souls of Indian soldiers who fought and died in World War I, believing in Britain's promise of independence during the British colonial period. Tourists appeared shocked by the dancing in front of the memorial, stopping to stare intently at the woman. However, she paid no attention and continued to shake her body and dance in front of the memorial tower.

The woman in the video is model 'Sannati Mitra,' residing in Kolkata, India. She posted the video on her Instagram with the caption "Happy International Men's Day." She stated, "I filmed and uploaded this video on the 19th to celebrate International Men's Day," adding, "It is my way of expressing gratitude for the kindness shown by men."

Netizens who saw the video poured out strong criticism, saying things like, "Instagram has ruined the world," "No matter how much you want attention, this is too much," "Isn't this disrespecting the sacrifice of Indian soldiers?" "This is a disgrace to the country. Delete it," "There are children around; what kind of act is this?" "Were there no police nearby? Why wasn't she arrested?" "Did she think this would be appreciated?"
