The event, held at Icheon Hyoyang High School (Principal Son Hee-seon), is expected to be attended by many school members, including career education supervisors from the provincial office and education support offices, and about 100 career teachers from schools within the province.
Career-linked education is an educational approach that supports students in adapting to school life, linking curriculum learning, and engaging in various career exploration activities as they prepare to advance to higher schools or grades, helping continuous learning and growth.
Hyoyang High School has been operating the "Career-Linked Education Research School," designated by the Ministry of Education, for two years starting in 2023. The school has developed its own career-linked education model (START) and has played a leading role by being the first in the province to apply career-linked education at the high school level.
The main contents of the performance presentation are △ Exhibition and registration of career-linked education activities △ Part 1: Open career-linked classes for all 1st and 2nd grade classes △ Part 2: Presentation of curriculum-linked achievements △ Part 3: Presentation of extracurricular activity achievements.
The Provincial Office of Education plans to actively support school career-linked education in accordance with the full implementation of the high school credit system in 2025 and the application of the 2022 revised curriculum. It also plans to conduct training for career education officers and distribute support materials to solidify career-linked education across elementary, middle, and high schools.
Kim Seong-jin, Director of Career and Vocational Education at the Provincial Office of Education, said, "We are pleased to hold the performance presentation of the career-linked education research school applying the 2022 revised curriculum," adding, "We will actively strive to generalize the achievements of the research school to the school field and further enhance the substance of school career-linked education."
