Korea Citibank to Support Mid-sized Companies' Overseas Expansion with K-Sure

Meeting to Support Expansion of Exports and Overseas Investment

Korea Citibank held a meeting with the Korea Trade Insurance Corporation to support the expansion of exports and overseas investments by mid-sized companies.

On the 21st, according to Korea Citibank, the 'Mid-sized Companies Export and Overseas Investment Expansion Support Meeting' was held at the Ramada Plaza Hotel in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province. The purpose of this meeting was to identify difficulties related to overseas investment and order expansion of mid-sized companies amid the uncertain global trade environment ahead of the inauguration of the second Trump administration, and to provide customized financial solutions.

The two organizations conducted ▲ a 25-year macroeconomic outlook analysis, ▲ an introduction to systems related to overseas expansion of mid-sized companies, and ▲ customized financial consultations for each company targeting 15 mid-sized companies.

The Korea Trade Insurance Corporation plays an essential role as a financial safety net for the overseas expansion of mid-sized companies. Since 2020, it has supported domestic and overseas facility investment financing of about 1 billion dollars (approximately 1.4 trillion won) in cooperation with Citibank, helping mid-sized companies to expand their businesses stably.

Myung Soonsun, CEO of Korea Citibank, stated, “The Korea Trade Insurance Corporation has supported mid-sized companies to grow in the global market and has played an important role in the growth of the Korean economy, and its importance will increase further in the future.” He added, “Korea Citibank will combine Citi’s global network with the expertise of the Korea Trade Insurance Corporation to provide optimal financial solutions for the growth and success of mid-sized companies.”
