iM Securities announced on the 21st that Outside Director Jeong Seong-hoon has been elected as the 33rd President of the Korean Financial Management Association. His term will begin on January 1, 2026, and last for one year.
The Korean Financial Management Association has been leading academic research in the fields of finance and financial management for over 41 years. It discusses major issues in the financial industry and capital markets and proposes solutions through annual regular academic conferences and symposiums.
Director Jeong Seong-hoon is currently a professor in the Department of Real Estate Management at Daegu Catholic University and has served as an advisory member of the Presidential Committee on Balanced National Development. Since March of this year, he has been serving as an outside director and audit committee member at iM Securities, chairing both the Internal Control Committee and the ESG Committee.
In August, iM Securities established the Internal Control Committee within the board of directors to strengthen internal controls. This aims to enhance the internal control system and ensure its proper operation by reviewing internal control management tasks.
Additionally, to introduce a responsibility structure for strengthening internal controls, the company plans to select an external consulting firm within this year and complete the preparation of the responsibility structure by March 2025.
