Pocheon-si Forms and Holds Meeting of Integrated Care Task Force

Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 21st that it formed the Pocheon City Integrated Care Task Force and held its first meeting on the 20th.

In July, Pocheon City established the Community Integrated Care Team through an organizational restructuring and has been preparing to actively promote the integrated care project.

The Pocheon City Integrated Care Task Force consists of about 20 team leaders and staff members from practical departments related to integrated care work, including care and health medical fields and integrated support desks in eup, myeon, and dong (township and neighborhood) offices.

The task force will discuss operational matters by sector, deliberate on ways to build an efficient collaboration system, and support the smooth promotion of Pocheon City's community integrated care project.

At the meeting, the background of the task force’s formation and operation was explained, and the main contents of the related law, the "Act on Integrated Support for Local Care including Medical and Nursing Care," were introduced. The work system of the integrated care project was also presented, and detailed collaboration plans among each practical department were discussed.

Hong Sook-kyung, Director of the Welfare Policy Division, said, “With the formation of this task force, we hope that Pocheon City's medical and nursing integrated care project will be stably promoted,” adding, “Pocheon City will continue to do its best to establish an integrated care system that satisfies its citizens.”

Meanwhile, the integrated care project is a program that provides medical, nursing, welfare, housing, and other services in an integrated manner so that citizens in need of care can continue to live independently.
