KOSPI Starts Lower, Fluctuating Around 2480... KOSDAQ Also Declines

The KOSPI is fluctuating around the 2480 level.

As of 9:31 AM on the 21st, the KOSPI index stood at 2480.23, down 1.81 points (-0.08%) from the previous trading day.

On this day, the index opened at 2474.62, down 7.67 points (0.31%) from the previous close, and has been showing a slight downward trend.

In the securities market, individuals and institutions are net buyers of 33.9 billion KRW and 7.1 billion KRW respectively, while foreigners are net sellers of 49.0 billion KRW alone.

Top market capitalization stocks are showing mixed trends. Samsung Electronics (0.54%) and SK Hynix (1.29%) are rising influenced by the surprise earnings of Nvidia, the AI leader, while Samsung Biologics (1.07%), Celltrion (1.87%), and POSCO Holdings (1.02%) are also increasing. LG Energy Solution (-0.75%), Kia (-0.10%), NAVER (-1.24%), and Shinhan Financial Group (-1.08%) are declining.

At the same time, the KOSDAQ index is down 7.30 points (-1.05%) from the previous close, standing at 675.94. Individuals and foreigners are net sellers of 33.0 billion KRW and 2.4 billion KRW respectively, while institutions are net buyers of 29.8 billion KRW.

Alteogen is down 11.13%, and biopharmaceutical stocks such as Rigachem Bio (-5.31%), Hugel (-3.01%), Rainbow Robotics (-1.57%), Samchundang Pharmaceutical (-1.82%), and HLB (-0.56%) are declining. EcoPro (4.00%), EcoPro BM (2.16%), and Enchem (0.50%) are rising.
