This event was organized to promote a culture of co-growth by collaborating with local public institutions to facilitate the entry of startups with excellent products and services into the public market.
About 200 participants, including 10 public institutions, 50 startups with outstanding products and services, and local citizens interested in startups, took part in activities such as the ‘Public Procurement Consultation for Startup Products,’ ‘Startup Product Exhibition,’ ‘Startup and ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) Management Mentoring,’ ‘Special Lecture by Startup Experts,’ and ‘Upcycling Experience Using Waste Resources.’
The public procurement consultation was conducted on-site between public institutions and startups matched in advance based on demand. For startups waiting for consultations, mentoring was provided by experts in various fields including startup management, ESG management, investment, and tax/accounting. On the second floor networking space, exhibition booths for startups participating in the public procurement consultation were set up to promote their products and services to local citizens.
Additionally, Lee Dong-guk, former captain of the South Korean national soccer team and founder of ‘Daebak Dreams,’ delivered a special lecture titled ‘There Is No Choice with a Known Outcome,’ encouraging aspiring entrepreneurs to pursue their startup dreams.
Choi Yeol-su, Acting President of KISED, stated, “As Korea’s dedicated startup support institution, we will continue to play a leading role in co-growth with startups.”
