Guri City Council, Partial Amendment to the 'Guri City Youth Sexual Culture Center Installation and Operation Ordinance'

The Guri City Council of Gyeonggi Province (Chairman Shin Dong-hwa) approved the original draft of the "Ordinance on the Installation and Operation of the Guri City Youth Sexual Culture Center Partial Amendment" proposed by Councilor Lee Kyung-hee at the first plenary session of the 2nd regular meeting of the 342nd session on the 20th.

This ordinance was enacted for the purpose of installing and operating the Guri City Youth Sexual Culture Center to foster sound sexual values among children and adolescents and to provide education for the prevention of sexual crimes, in accordance with Article 47 of the "Act on the Protection of Children and Youth Against Sexual Abuse."

The partial amendment ordinance was prepared to prevent digital sexual crimes, which have been increasing recently through digital devices and information and communication technologies such as deepfake crimes using artificial intelligence (AI) technology, by efficiently operating the Guri City Youth Sexual Culture Center.

Specifically, it includes △ support matters necessary for the installation and operation of the Youth Sexual Culture Center △ matters related to the operation of the education center of the Youth Sexual Culture Center △ establishment of cooperative systems △ prohibition of disclosure of secrets, among others.

Councilor Lee Kyung-hee said, “Through this partial amendment, support for the operation of the Youth Sexual Culture Center has become possible, and sexual education programs can be expanded and implemented. The Guri City Council will do its best to assist so that children and adolescents in Guri City can develop healthy sexual values and grow into proper members of society.”
