Wanju-gun, Iksan-si, Asan-si Youth Support and Complex Cultural Space Benchmarking
The Population Policy Task Force (TF) in Yeoju-si, Gyeonggi Province, is embarking on a field exploration of outstanding youth policies from the 19th to the 20th to strengthen population policies.
The Yeoju-si Population Policy Task Force aims to revitalize population policies by promoting field-centered learning of best practices. The selected destinations include Wanju-gun's complex cultural space 'Cheongchon Bangakkan', Iksan-si's 'Youth City Hall', and Asan-si's youth space 'Nawayu Baebang Branch'.
By visiting youth support spaces and complex cultural spaces operating in each region, they plan to discover policies suitable for the city, activate youth participation in policies in Yeoju-si, and lay the foundation for population growth through youth attraction policies.
At this workshop, Lee Woo-taek from the Population and Future Policy Research Institute was invited to give a special capacity-building lecture on the theme of 'The Role of Local Governments in a Low Birthrate and Aging Society'.
The Planning and Budget Officer stated, “Through this benchmarking, we hope to gain new perspectives and insights on youth policies to more effectively implement Yeoju-si's population policies,” and added, “We will continue to explore various measures to attract youth and increase the population.”
