Gapyeong-gun "Announces Acrostic Poem Contest to Present Vision for 2025"

Gift Certificates Worth 2.6 Million KRW Awarded to 7 People Including a Grand Prize of 1 Million KRW

Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province (Governor Seo Tae-won) announced on the 20th that it will hold an acrostic poem contest to discover creative ideas to serve as the county's vision for the year 2025.

In this contest, participants can freely propose acrostic poems without any specific given keywords. Submissions will be accepted from the 20th to the 29th, and anyone who is a citizen of the Republic of Korea can participate.

The judging criteria include five categories: creativity, symbolism, direction, popularity, and completeness. If multiple ideas from the same person are selected, only the top one will be awarded, and in cases of duplicate submissions with the same content, the earliest received proposal will be chosen.

Additionally, ideas that have already been selected or those similar to the basic concept of previously selected ideas, as well as those that fall under patents, utility models, design rights, or copyrights held by others, will be excluded from the evaluation.

Prizes include Gapyeong Love Gift Certificates worth a total of 2.6 million KRW: Grand Prize 1,000,000 KRW (1 person), Excellence Award 700,000 KRW (1 person), Merit Award 300,000 KRW (2 persons), and Encouragement Award 100,000 KRW (3 persons). The winning entries will be announced on the Gapyeong-gun website in December.

A county official stated, “We look forward to excellent and creative ideas that will become Gapyeong-gun’s vision for 2025,” and added, “Selected works will be used in various external materials and newsletters for promotional purposes, so we encourage many to participate.”
