On the 20th, Osan City announced that it secured a special adjustment grant of 440 million KRW from Gyeonggi Province for the creation of barefoot loess trails. The city explained that it plans to invest a total of 770 million KRW through the grant and additional city budget allocation to establish seven barefoot loess trails next year.

The areas under consideration for the barefoot loess trail creation are parks in Busandong, Cheonghodong, Yangsandong, Oesammi-dong, Wondong, Osandong, and Gwoldong.
The creation of barefoot loess trails is a key project promoted by the 8th term Osan City administration as a way to enhance health in daily life. To this end, Mayor Ikwon Jae of Osan City has actively collaborated with Gyeonggi Province and members of the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly from the People Power Party.
Meanwhile, this year, barefoot loess trails were created in three locations: Wondong Neighborhood Park in Wondong, Goindol Park in Geumam-dong, and Jukmi Neighborhood Park in Segyo-dong. The city has identified that the established barefoot loess trails are used by approximately 500 to 1,000 people daily.
Along with the new barefoot loess trails next year, the city plans to supplement safety and convenience facilities on existing barefoot loess trails.
The mayor stated, "As a result of proactive administration carried out together with public officials, we have been able to create spaces where people can walk on loess trails throughout the Osan urban area. We will continue to make every effort to provide spaces where citizens can walk and heal."
