Starbucks at Chuncheon Uiam Lake... 10,000 Visitors in Just 5 Days Since Opening

Specialized Beverage 'Uiamho's Green Grapefruit Fizz' Gains Popularity

Starbucks Korea announced on the 20th that the number of visitors to 'The Chuncheon Uiamho R Store,' which opened near Uiamho Lake in Chuncheon-si, Gangwon, surpassed 10,000 within just five days of opening.


The Chuncheon Uiamho R Store is Starbucks' sixth 'THE' store. Designed with the concept of 'Recovery of Senses,' it features an interior where customers can exclusively enjoy Starbucks' premium coffee, Reserve. The store consists of four above-ground floors with a total of 256 seats. Outdoor terrace seating is arranged from the 2nd to the 4th floor, allowing visitors to enjoy views of Uiamho Lake and Samaksan Mountain.

On the first day of opening, the 14th, about 100 people waited outside before business hours to enter, and the flow of visitors continued without pause afterward. The most sold beverage during this period was the 'Green Grapefruit Fizz of Uiamho.' According to Starbucks Korea's analysis of beverage sales data, an average of 200 cups were sold daily. Following that, the 'Purple Lavender Taratte of Uiamho' recorded an average daily sales of 150 cups.


Two exclusive food items sold only at The Chuncheon Uiamho R Store, the 'Chuncheon-style Dakgalbi & Potato Ciabatta Sandwich' and the 'Potato-filled Mascarpone Cake,' also sold more than 1,000 units over five days. Additionally, the 'SS Yoonsul Rhinestone Pink Tumbler 473㎖,' an exclusive MD product applying the lake elements of Chuncheon Uiamho, sold out early every morning for five consecutive days.


Meanwhile, Starbucks currently operates 11 special stores. A company representative stated, "As a store that reflects regional characteristics, various specialized beverages, food, and MD products are popular, attracting 30% more visitors compared to regular stores."
