Added Feature to Enable or Disable Virtual Number Reception
Useful for Delivery and Restaurant Operators
Set via App... Monthly Fee 3,850 KRW
LG Uplus has launched the 'Dual Number On and Off' service, allowing customers who use two mobile numbers on a single smartphone to choose whether to receive calls.
Dual Number is a mobile value-added service that assigns a second virtual number in addition to the original number given when subscribing to a communication service, enabling consumers to use the numbers separately for their desired purposes. The Dual Number On and Off service features the ability to easily turn the reception of the second virtual number on or off according to the customer's needs while using both numbers as before.
For example, customers who use dual numbers to separate personal and work numbers can simply turn off the virtual number used for work after business hours to avoid receiving work-related calls.
This service is expected to be especially useful for customers who use virtual numbers for deliveries, secondhand transactions, parking, restaurant waiting lists, and more.
Settings can be managed through the integrated value-added service management application 'U+ Mobile Manager.' The Dual Number On and Off service costs 3,850 KRW per month, and any customer using LG Uplus mobile services can subscribe.
Lee Seok-young, head of LG Uplus Mobile Service Tribe, said, "We launched this value-added service to improve convenience for customers using dual numbers by allowing easy on and off control of virtual numbers," adding, "We will continue to provide differentiated experiences to customers through various services that resolve their inconveniences."
