The Ministry of SMEs and Startups proved its excellence in SNS management by winning the Grand Prize in the government department category for the 2023 Blog of the Year and Facebook of the Year, and again in 2024 for Instagram. This award was the result of the Ministry forming a strong rapport with the public through creative content production on Instagram and actively communicating with various types of content.

In particular, the Ministry actively utilized Instagram's 'Reels' feature to attract significant public interest. Among these, a video collaboration with the child ‘Choeun Raepper Cha Noeul’ drew the most attention. The Ministry rewrote the lyrics of Cha Noeul’s representative song ‘HAPPY’ to include content about the Ministry’s Companion Festival, produced it as a video, and recorded 3.52 million views, 116,000 likes, and about 600 comments. This video went beyond simple policy promotion and gained strong public support and encouragement.

Additionally, the Ministry actively used the latest trending ‘memes’ to encourage participation from the younger generation. Trendy content favored by Instagram’s main user base, such as ‘Over the Frozen Han River,’ ‘Summary of Companion Festival Benefits,’ and ‘Who Knows There’s a Helicopter on the Ministry’s Rooftop,’ was produced to effectively spread interest in SME policies.

Kim Dae-hee, spokesperson for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, said, “We have continuously strived to create content that the public can genuinely relate to through collaboration with ordinary influencers,” and added, “We will continue to produce differentiated content reflecting the latest trends and the voices of the people to communicate with the public.”
