Javis & Villains, the operator of the tax assistance service 'SamjjeomSam,' announced on the 20th that Baek Joo-seok, Chief Risk Officer (CRO), has been appointed as CEO.

Javis & Villains held an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on the 19th and resolved to appoint the new CEO Baek Joo-seok. CEO Baek will share responsibility for company management alongside the existing CEO Jung Yong-soo. The founder and former CEO Kim Beom-seop has moved to the position of Chief Global Strategy Officer (CGO) to focus on overseas market expansion, including Japan, and planning and discovering new business opportunities.

New CEO Baek graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in law and has served as a senior lawyer in the legal team at Samsung C&T, among other roles. He joined Javis & Villains in 2021 as a legal expert and has played a key role in external cooperation areas such as corporate risk management and forecasting, contributing to the growth and organizational stabilization of SamjjeomSam.

CEO Baek will focus on strategy formulation and management efficiency in response to changes in the business environment, while CEO Jung Yong-soo will lead the overall business, including the advancement of the SamjjeomSam service using artificial intelligence (AI). The leadership division aims to expand the company’s growth momentum while pursuing internal stability.

CEO Baek said, “I have taken on the CEO position at an important stage of SamjjeomSam’s journey,” adding, “I will do my best to respond flexibly and strategically to the rapidly changing environment.”
