Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the opening ceremony of the new Masanhappo-gu Wanwol-dong Administrative Welfare Center on the 19th.
About 100 people, including Hong Nampyo, mayor of Changwon Special City, provincial and city council members, heads of organizations, and local residents, attended the ceremony, starting with a commemorative tree planting followed by the unveiling of the nameplate.
The construction of the Wanwol-dong Administrative Welfare Center, a long-awaited project by local residents, led to road expansion, improving traffic flow and securing a safe commuting route for students.
The first floor houses a parking lot and a nursing room, the second floor contains the civil service office and spaces for resident autonomy, and the third floor is equipped with classrooms for resident autonomy programs and a multipurpose auditorium, reflecting thoughtful consideration for the residents throughout the building.
Mayor Hong Nampyo of Changwon Special City stated, “With the establishment of the new Administrative Welfare Center, we aim to resolve the long-standing inconveniences faced by residents and provide better administrative services along with various cultural and welfare benefits, hoping it will become a space where residents can communicate and harmonize together.”
