'Dahye Moon' on 'Drunk Driving', Referred to Prosecution Without Detention... Suspected of Violating Road Traffic Act

'Dahye Moon' on 'Drunk Driving', Referred to Prosecution Without Detention... Suspected of Violating Road Traffic Act Yonhap News

On the 19th, Dahye Moon (41, photo), daughter of former President Moon Jae-in, who caused a traffic accident while driving under the influence, was handed over to the prosecution.

The Yongsan Police Station in Seoul sent Moon to the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office without detention on the same day in the afternoon on charges of drunk driving under the Road Traffic Act.

The police plan to issue a warning for Moon regarding violations of traffic regulations such as illegal parking and running a red light, as well as the fact that the rear lights were not illuminated at the time of the accident.

Earlier, on the 5th of last month at around 2:51 a.m., while driving in front of the Hamilton Hotel in Itaewon, Yongsan-gu, Moon collided with a black passenger taxi following behind while changing lanes. At the time of the accident, Moon's blood alcohol concentration was measured at 0.149%, about twice the license cancellation standard (0.08%).

Moon appeared at the police station on the 18th of last month, 13 days after the accident, and was investigated for about four hours, reportedly admitting to most of the charges.
