Unique Autumn Night Event Combining Forest Experience Activities and Traditional Games at Andersen Fairy Tale Village

Busan Gijang-gun (Governor Jeong Jong-bok) recently successfully concluded the forest cultural event “Into the Goblin Forest,” which combined forest experience activities and traditional games at Andersen Fairy Tale Village (Jangan-eup, Gijang-gun).

The event was organized by “Green Kids,” a specialized early childhood forest education institution, offering participants a special experience through various traditional games based on goblin folklore and forest cultural activities.

On the day of the event, about 400 participants, including families with infants, toddlers, elementary school students, and local residents, took part. Participants had the opportunity to watch the forest goblin play “Into the Goblin Forest,” which combines Gijang’s old culture of goblin rituals and goblin hosting.

Additionally, participants enjoyed a variety of programs combining traditional games and forest cultural activities, such as ▲Lucky Goblin ▲Mouse Fire Play ▲Goblin Mask Making ▲A Game with the Goblin.

In particular, the vivid and immersive experience activities received great responses, with a post-event satisfaction survey showing high satisfaction and strong willingness to participate again among attendees.

A Gijang-gun official stated, “We hope this event will not only promote forest cultural education but also enhance the recognition of Gijang Andersen Fairy Tale Village,” adding, “We will continue to promote ‘ecological and cultural forest-connection recreational activities’ that link forests and people.”

The county is promoting the development of a “Cinema Healing Accommodation Complex” around Andersen Fairy Tale Village. Currently in the basic planning stage, once completed, the project is expected to establish a “Forest-Connection Forest Recreation Infrastructure” and become a major local forest recreation tourism resource.
