To commemorate Child Abuse Prevention Day, an event titled "Energetic Commute! Together with Child Abuse Prevention" was held for employees during commuting hours. This campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of preventing child abuse and to enhance understanding of child abuse issues.
Additionally, the 2024 Child Abuse Prevention Week campaign targets elderly individuals who are increasingly raising their grandchildren in this aging society. Through education and promotion, the campaign seeks to highlight the seriousness of child abuse and strengthen the community’s sense of responsibility for child protection.
Starting with Muahui House on the 12th, the campaign will visit Yangsan Senior University (13th), Tteulanchae Senior Center (15th), and Mulgeum-eup Administrative Welfare Center (18th) to provide child abuse prevention education tailored to the elderly’s perspective. Various promotional activities such as a children’s rights art exhibition, child abuse prevention puzzle matching, and roulette games were conducted to increase participation and interest.
Following this, on the 21st, the campaign will visit the Yangsan Senior Welfare Center, and on the 22nd, the Ungsang General Social Welfare Center to promote a more active child abuse prevention campaign.
Mayor Na Dong-yeon expressed, “I would like to thank the employees and officials who actively participated in the morning commute event in observance of Child Abuse Prevention Day. Moving forward, Yangsan City will do its utmost to raise awareness about the importance of preventing child abuse and take the lead in guaranteeing children’s rights.”
