Haman-gun Equestrian Park Successfully Concludes the '2024 Youth Equestrian Club Championship'


Promoting Youth Sports ... Expanding the Base of Horseback Riding

On the 17th, Haman-gun, Gyeongnam Province, successfully hosted the '2024 Youth Equestrian Club Competition' at the Haman-gun Equestrian Park Indoor Arena, the county announced on the 19th.


The competition featured a total of 22 youth riders from three teams: Haman-gun Youth, Gaya Elementary Youth, and Jinju Geonyeong Youth Equestrian Teams, who engaged in fierce competition.

This club competition was organized to maintain and improve the practical competitive skills of youth riders, providing an opportunity to fully demonstrate their honed abilities across various events such as riding race, obstacle course, and relay race.


In the riding race, for the elementary division, △Kim Jae-eun (Geonyeong) took 1st place △Hwang Mu-jin (Gaya Elementary) took 2nd place △Lee Seong-ho (Haman-gun) took 3rd place; in the middle school division, △Hwang Seong-hyun (Haman-gun) took 1st place △Lee Seung-ah (Haman-gun) took 2nd place △Kang Ji-ho (Geonyeong) took 3rd place.


In the 30cm obstacle course, for the elementary division, △Lee Seong-ho (Haman-gun) took 1st place △Shin Do-yoon (Haman-gun) took 2nd place △Choi Seo-yeon (Geonyeong) took 3rd place; in the middle school division, △Lee Tae-yoon (Haman-gun) took 1st place △Lee Seung-ah (Haman-gun) took 2nd place △Hwang Seong-hyun (Haman-gun) took 3rd place.


In the 60cm obstacle course combined division, △Lee Tae-yoon (Haman-gun) took 1st place △Lee Seung-ah (Haman-gun) took 2nd place △Joo Hyun-seong (Geonyeong) took 3rd place.


Additionally, in the relay race, △Haman-gun Team A took 1st place △Geonyeong Team took 2nd place △Haman-gun Team B took 3rd place △Gaya Elementary Team took 4th place.


This competition provided a valuable opportunity for participating athletes to gain practical experience and further enhance their skills. With about 100 parents and local residents filling the arena with enthusiastic cheers, the passion and sense of achievement for equestrian sports were strongly felt. Moreover, the Haman-gun Youth Equestrian Club Competition contributed meaningfully to the promotion of equestrian sports and the development of youth athletics.


Parents who watched the event expressed pride, saying, "We are proud that the children showed excellent skills," and showed continuous interest and support for youth equestrian sports.


An official from the Equestrian Park stated, "We hope this club competition served as a great motivation for youth equestrian athletes," adding, "We plan to continue providing multifaceted support to promote youth sports and expand the base of equestrian sports."
