According to Guri City, this inspection was conducted on a total of 9 facilities out of 14 water supply facilities in Guri City, including intake stations that transfer raw water from the Han River, water purification plants that produce tap water, and distribution reservoirs and booster stations that store and pressurize the produced tap water. Specifically, the inspection covered water purification plants, intake stations, 2 booster stations, and 5 distribution reservoirs.
Through this inspection, Guri City conducted on-site surveys, visual inspections, and facility condition evaluations to check for defects such as cracks, leaks, and subsidence. As a result, no significant defects were found in the facilities. Minor issues requiring some maintenance were identified in electrical facilities, valve rooms, civil engineering, and architectural structures, but overall, the facilities were evaluated to be in good condition through continuous repair and reinforcement.
Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri City stated, “I am relieved to confirm that the city’s water supply facilities are operating stably through this regular safety inspection,” and added, “We will complete all necessary repairs by the end of the year and devote all efforts to producing tap water that citizens can drink with confidence.”
