Kim Hyehyun Officer Wins Best Individual Video Award

Taean County has reaffirmed its reputation as a leading local government in drone technology by achieving the remarkable feat of winning awards for three consecutive years at the Chungcheongnam-do Drone Video and Photo Contest.
Taean County announced that it was selected as the top institution at the 3rd Chungcheongnam-do Drone Video and Photo Contest, and Kim Hyehyun, an official from the Civil Service Division, received the top prize in the video category for public officials. The award ceremony was held on the 19th at the main building of the Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Government.
In the inaugural contest in 2022, Taean County made its mark as the only local government in the province to win awards in two categories (Excellence in Video and Excellence in Administrative Collaboration). This year and last year, the county achieved first place in two categories (Overall and Video) for two consecutive years.
This contest, organized by Chungcheongnam-do, aimed to promote the use and expansion of drones. The competition was open to the general public and public officials, with entries judged in both photo and video categories.
Taean County submitted the video work “This is TAEAN” in the video category, capturing the beautiful natural environment and major attractions of the region. The piece, which depicted moments of nature and healing through three themes?“Tranquility of the Forest,” “Festival of Flowers,” and “Joy of the Sea”?earned Kim Hyehyun the top individual award in the video category.
In addition, the photo work “Small Island Village of Gaeuido,” which captured the beautiful island of Gaeuido in Taean by drone, was also submitted and received a positive response. As a result, Taean County received high praise in both video and photo categories, winning the top institution award.
Kim Hyehyun, who received the top award in the video category, said, “With the hope for the successful hosting of the Taean International Horticultural Healing Expo to be held in Anmyeondo in 2026, I worked hard with my colleagues to promote the beauty of Taean. I will continue to do my best to capture the diverse aspects of the region with drones.”
County Governor Ga Se-ro said, “Taean County is striving to vitalize the drone industry by building ‘Taean County UV Land,’ the largest drone-specialized facility in Korea, and implementing business-friendly policies. We will further enhance the expertise of the drone industry and focus on nurturing future growth engines by attracting various related projects.”
